It turned out to be a fantastic result for us at my "home" race in Paul Ricard, which is only 90 minutes away from Monaco by finishing on P2. We qualified 3rd and opted to use our old tires from the free practice for our first stint with Peter for the QF race. Unfortunately that was a very difficult to handle and we dropped right through the field. We ended up in P9 and were obviously very disappointed to having to start the main race from so far back.

But on the other hand we had 2 good set of tires left for the main race and that gave us an advantage. I took the start of the race and managed to stay out of trouble and crashes, which was sometimes just pure luck! I therefore was able to move up the order to P3 when I handed the car over to Peter who did a fantastic drive to P2 finally. As this was our second podium in a row (Brno P3), we now moved up to fourth position in the overall drivers ranking, which hopefully will improve further.

We now will have to carry 50kg of extra ballast for the next round in Spa, which will be a tough challenge. But luckily we have the opportunity to test there Wednesday this week, so we will try to find a good setup for the heavier car!

しかし、他方では、2の良いセットのタイヤは決勝レースに残しており、それが僕たちのアドバンテージでした。 僕はレースのスタートを切り、トラブルとクラッシュを避けようとしていました。それは、たまにあるほんの単なる運でした！ したがって、最終的に見事なドライブで2位にしたピーターに車を引き渡したとき、僕は、3番手までに上げることができたのです。 これが僕たちの連続で2度目のポディウム(ブルーノ・3位)であり、僕たちは、今やドライバー総合ランキングで第4位のポジションにまで上がりました。さらに向上しようと希望を持っています。

僕たちは、次のラウンドのSpaでは50kgの余分なバラストを取り付けなければならないのですが、Spaはタフなチャレンジになるでしょう。 しかし、運よく僕たちには今週水曜日にそこでテストする機会があるので、重くなった車のための良いセットアップを追及するつもりです!
