Nordschleife and Silverstone
It's been a busy time for me after the Sachsenring race. A week after the race I went to the Lausitzring for the Nissan Sportscarbattle event (www.sportscarbattle.com) where we had a great time finding new talent for the Nissan 370Z. The testing ground there is amazing with a really high banked oval as well. The week later I went to the VLN race at the Nurburgring and it was amazing to drive the Nordschleife under 9min for the first time. The driving pleasure around there is not comparable to anything else I have ever experienced. We had a little bit of bad luck in the race, but for the 24h race we are confident to make a good result this year.
On my travels around the eastern parts of Germany I also enjoyed the Autobahn a lot, setting a new personal top speed record in my road GTR of 328km/h! That was faster than I went in Le Mans many years ago. It's just an incredible road car, or more racing car for the road I have to say.
After the Nurburgring I drove through the night to Monaco to watch the F1 GP from my friends balcony. That was definitely worth it as the race was spectacular with lots of overtaking action. Hamilton contributed lots to the action and it's a shame that he got penalized so much, as he was showing us what real racing is all about. It's a shame that it gets penalized to be aggressive as there are always 2 drivers involved in any accident and to just blame the faster driver coming from behind is just not fair.
This week is round 5 of the GT1 World Championship in Silverstone and this should be a circuit that fits the GTR well and therefore we are quite optimistic to achieve a good result. But as usual the challenge is to get everything spot on, qualifying, the start and moreover the pitstops. So there's lots to focus on before we can reap in the points...

ニュル北コースとシルバーストン
ザクセンリンクのレースが終わって、忙しい時を過ごしています。レースの一週間後にはNissanスポーツカーバトルのイベント（www.sportscarbattle.com）でラウジッツリンクに行きました。そこではNissan370Zの新しい才能を見出した素晴らしい経験をしました。また、そのテストコースはかなり高く盛り土をされた楕円形で驚くべきものでした。一週間後僕はニュルブルクリンクで開催のVLNレースに参加しました。初めて9分未満で北コースを走行するとは驚異的でした。そこでの運転の喜びは今まで経験してきた他のどんなこととも比べられません。レースでは僕たちにはちょっと運は向いてなかったけれど、24Hレースについては、今年良い結果を出せると自信があります。
ドイツ東部を旅行している間、アウトバーンも沢山楽しめましたし、僕のロードGTRで時速328キロの個人的な新最速記録を出しました！昔にルマンに行ったよりも速かったのです。ちょっと信じられないロードカーというか、それよりももっとレーシングカーに近いと言えます。
ニュルブルクリンクの後、僕は友達の家のバルコニーからF1 GPを観戦するため、夜通しでモナコまで運転しました。レースは多くのオーバーテイクの動きがあり壮観で絶対的に観る価値がありました。ハミルトンはレースに沢山貢献したし、本当のレースが何かの全てを私たちに教えてくれていたのに、多く罰せられたのは残念です。アクシデントに関与する2人のドライバーがいつもいるとき、アグレッシブであることで罰せられるのが、残念で、背後から来るより速いドライバーを非難するのは、ちょっと公正ではありません。
今週末はシルバーストンでGT1世界選手権の第5戦、ここはGTRと相性が良いサーキットですし、僕たちは良い結果を得られると少々楽観的です。しかしいつものように、チャレンジは予選、スタートそしてさらにピットストップと全てを狙い通りにモノにすることです。だからポイントを獲得する前に色々なことに集中しないと．．．
