This year I will take part at the 24h race at the Nurburgring which will take place in the middle of May. In order to qualify for this race I had to do a VLN race on the famous "Nordschleife" circuit. The car is a Nissan 370Z and the team is RJN from England. I just made it to the circuit by taking a flight to Moscow from Abu Dhabi, which was all in all and adventure in itself after the flight delays due to the volcano.

It was great to be back racing in Germany, and especially this challenging circuit was extremely exciting. Unfortunately we had some trouble with the car and after I completed my stint the car stopped with some electronic problems. Nevertheless I will be qualified for the 24h race and I had an amazing time battling with other cars around the Nordschleife. I can't wait for the 24h race, which I will share with Alex Buncombe from England, former DTM star Kurt Thiim and Holger Eckhardt from the germany "Auto Zeitung" magazine.

But this week the focus will be in Silverstone where we have the second round of the GT1 World Championship and we are eager to score our first points after missing out on that in Abu Dhabi. It will be a completely new circuit layout in Silverstone and we will be the first championship to race there, so it is going to be another challenge.

「Ring」での初レース

今年、僕は、5月中旬に開催されるニュルブルクリンクの24時間レースに参加する予定です。 このレースの予選のために、有名な"Nordschleife（北コース）"サーキットで VLNレース（耐久選手権）に出場しなければなりませんでした。 車は日産370Zで、チームはイギリスのRJNです。 僕はアブダビからモスクワへの飛んでサーキットにやっと辿り着いた わけで、火山のためフライト便が遅延した後では要するにそれ自体がアドベンチャーでした。

ドイツでのレースに戻ってきたことは素晴らしく、特にこのやりがいがあるサーキットは非常にエキサイティングでした。 残念ながら、僕たちの車にトラブルがみつかり、僕の任務完了 後、車は何らかの電気異常でストップしてしまいまいした。 それにもかかわらず、僕は24時間レースの予選を通るでしょうし、北コース周辺で他車と戦いながら、驚くべき時を過しました。　24時間レースが待ちきれません。(私はイギリスのAlex Buncombe、元DTMのスター選手Kurt Thiim、それにドイツの「Auto Zeitung」という雑誌のHolger Eckhardtらとシェアする予定です)。

しかし、今週の僕たちの焦点はGT1 World Championshipの第二ラウンドがあるシルバーストーンなのです。　そして、僕たちはアブダビで逃した初ポイントの獲得を切望しているのです。シルバーストーンでは完全に新しいサーキットレイアウトになって、僕たちがそこでレースをする最初の選手権になるので、それはもう一つのチャレンジになるでしょう。
